Fly around Beira Lake, Lotus Tower and Fort Station in 3D. Change the light, bring in a thunderstorm, put on Sri Lankan radio, and download the landmark models as GLB or Blender files.
A small, hand-built 3D Colombo you can wander in the browser: change the light, bring in a thunderstorm, put on the radio and fly to Lotus Tower.
Why this exists
Most of what I build answers a question. This one does not. I wanted a small piece of Colombo I could open in a browser tab and spend a few minutes in: the lake, the tower, the old station. Something closer to a postcard than a map.
What you can do in it
Explore. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom, and jump between aerial, city and lakeside views. A compass tells you which way you are facing.
Visit the landmarks. Lotus Tower, Altair, Gangaramaya Temple, the World Trade Center, Colombo Fort Station and the National Museum each have their own camera position and a short story about their history and architecture. Names appear in Sinhala, Tamil and English with their coordinates.
Set the mood. Morning light, soft daylight or golden hour; clear, cloudy, rain, heavy rain or a thunderstorm. Sky, shadows, water and the wetness of the ground all change together, which is the detail that makes it feel like weather rather than a filter.
Put on the radio. Live Sri Lankan stations play while you look around. A small badge shows the real temperature in Colombo right now, separate from whatever weather you have chosen for the scene.
The models
The Station and the Museum have interiors and a cutaway view, so you can step into the ticket hall or look up the museum staircase. Every landmark can be opened in a model viewer, and most can be downloaded as GLB or as an editable Blender file.
Lotus Tower ships inside the compressed city model; the other five come with separate Blender sources and model packs. I also wrote up the reference-image approach behind them, so anyone can make their own landmark the same way.
Where it stands
Live. Its sibling, Colombo Delivery, takes the same streets and turns them into a game.
